Rusty was one of two dogs on the Kent Farm, along with Shelby, not counting Krypto the Superdog. Rusty was a golden retriever, and caused Superman to discover his power of flight for the first time (In modern-age comics) by pushing him off a cliff accidentally.

Rusty only appeared in the miniseries, "The Man Of Steel" and "A Superman for All Seasons"
